Deloris “Jean” (Discovich) Armel, age 86, of Adah, PA passed away on Monday, February 12th, 2024.

She was born on February 7th, 1938 in Searights, PA

Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Yonish) Discovich.

Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her son: Wayne

three grandchildren: Roger Lee Lilley, Jr., Christy Marie Moody, and Ronald Eugene Armel

son-in-law: Roger Lee Lilley, Sr.

four brothers: Paul, Chuck, Anthony, and Donald

two sisters: Josephine Sanner and Clara Kushak

Jean was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years: John E. Armel, Sr.

five children: Debbie Lilley; John E. Armel, Jr. and wife Theresa; Terri Moody and husband Dale; Darlene Pasquale and John Bobak; and Floyd Armel and wife Constance

10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Her dog: Buster

Friends will be received in The Dearth Funeral Home 35 South Mill Street New Salem, PA on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Friday from 10:00AM until 11:00AM where a Funeral Service will be held with Rev. Andy Miles officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
