Shilynn Renee Smith

Shilynn Renee Smith, age 24, of Brownsville, PA passed unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17, 2024.  She was born on January 22, 2000 in Uniontown, PA daughter of the late Lindsey Renee (Aldridge) Vassar and survived by her father Ronald Lee Smith, Jr.

Shilynn had a love for music and dancing.  She enjoyed photography, fashion, and cosmetology.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, including her brothers, sisters, and nieces. Shilynn was very much loved by her entire family.

Besides her mom, Shilynn was preceded in death by her grandmother, Deborah (Show) Smith; grandfather, Lou Aldridge; great grandparents, Rosella and Kenneth Carney; aunt, Sharon (and husband Wayne) Sabo, Karen Carney; uncle, Mark Johnson; cousins, Adam, Heather and Michael Carney.

Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Ronald Lee Smith, III and fiancee Suanne Rankin, Brayden Aldridge, Gregory Sikora, Aleigha Sikora, Taya Smith, Malaya Smith; grandparents, Michelle (Carney) and William McManus, Lori and Ronald Smith, Sr.; aunts, Lori Hough, Terri Speelman and husband Bill, Dani Jo Preston and husband Junior Anderson, Billie Robinson and husband Matt, Tiffany Smith, Brandy Johnson, Amber Kuhn, Amanda Greaves, Destiny Aldridge, Tonya Aldridge, and Joylynn Reinhart; uncle, Scott Smith; nieces, Callie Renee Smith, Alana Lynn Smith, and Jalayah Douglas; great aunts and uncles, Belinda Johnson, Kenneth Wayne Carney, John and Cheryl Carney; also survived by numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held in The Dearth Funeral Home, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, PA 15468 on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 1 PM until the Funeral Service at 5 PM, with Reverend Michael Peton officiating. Interment will be private in LaFayette Memorial Park.
